Oh, who am I kidding? I don't write here any more.
My mom died on Monday. The end of a long, long decline - some of which was documented here.
I feel as though it's a good bookend for this LJ, which is all but abandoned at this point anyway.
Started not long after my sister died, and ends with my mother dying.
The family I grew up with really is no longer. It's something that happens to everyone I guess, but at 36 I feel like it's a little young to be where I am. Fortunately, I have a family of my own.
RM said something about how someday LJ would probably cease to exist (Tripod anyone? Wait - maybe that was a rumor). I guess if that happened there'd probably be some sort of warning.
Sometimes I think about maybe giving Eva and Lydian the password to this account when they get older, but who knows. Would Lydian feel grossed out about reading about the night she was conceived? Are you grossed out by that?
Anyway, most of this LJ focused on the negatives of the past 5 (6??) years. Which isn't entirely fair or accurate. I guess this was mostly an outlet for the bad things. Nowadays everything in my life is going well, so it's difficult to get motivated about writing NOBODY UNEDRSTANDS ME!!!!ELEVEN!! in LJ.
Besides, everyone is on facebook now.
